Nyzar Plyska

Nazar Plyska began playing the violin at the age of four. He was a student of the School of Talents n. a. Z. Brzewski (prof. E. Kowar-Mikołajczyk).

In 2016-2018 he was a scholarship holder of the Polish Children’s Fund.

Nazar improved his skills in numerous master courses in Belgium, Germany, Poland and Ukraine. He was a member of the Penderecki Youth Orchestra (PYO) and the Luslawice Talent Orchestra (K. Penderecki European Music Centre), with which he recorded a CD and DVD.

As a soloist, Nazar has frequently performed with orchestras in prestigious Polish concert halls – W. Lutosławski Concert Studio of Polish Radio (Warsaw), The A. Malawski Philharmonic in Rzeszow, in the Ballroom of the the Lancut Castle (Poland) as well as in Musikaliska and the Royal Castle (Stockholm, Sweden), Théâtre Royal des Galeries (Brussels, Belgium). He participated in charity concerts at The National University of Ostroh Academy, in recitals at the Royal Castle of Warsaw, and performed in a concert-series of the Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra.

He has toured in Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Hungary and Ukraine. The quartet, with which Nazar collaborated, won
the first prize at the Polish National Instrumentalists Forum n. a. K. and A. Szafranki (Rybnik – Poland, 2016).

He devotes his free time to play piano. At the SIMC competition (Stockholm – Sweden, 2016) he received the 1st prize in the category “Piano as a Second Instrument”.

Among the most important achievements are

  • 3rd prize at the VIII National Violin Meetings n.a. prof. M. Lawrynowicz (Płock – Poland, 2014); 5th prize at the International Competition of B. Warhal (DolnýKubín – Slovakia, 2015);
  • 2nd prize at the Polish national auditions CEA (Katowice – Poland, 2015);
  • 1st prize at the Kaunas Sonorum International Competition (Kaunas – Lithuania, 2015); 1st prize at the 5th SIMC International Music Competition in Stockholm (Stockholm – Sweden, 2016);
  • 1st prize in the “101 Genius Competitions 2016-2017” International Competition,
  • 2nd prize at the Polish National Competition “Violin Talents – 2018” in Poznan and Grand Prix (1st International Online Performance Competition, Poland, 2021).

Since 2018, Nazar Plyska is a student of the International School for Professional Musical Education “Musica Mundi” (Belgium) in the class of Leonid Kerbel.
