LAUREAT FONDATION CHOPIN 2023

Markiyan Popil est né à Lviv, en Ukraine. Il commence ses études professionnelles à l’école de musique de Tomaszow Lubelski (Pologne) avec Olena Popil, et à l’école de musique spécialisée de Lviv par Lidia Krych et Oksana Rapita, avec qui il poursuit ses études à l’Académie nationale de musique de Lviv.                               Depuis 2015, il étudie au Conservatoire royal d’Anvers dans la classe de Sergei Edelmann.

Markiyan est lauréat de nombreux concours pour les jeunes en Ukraine et en Pologne. En 2016, il a remporté le premier prix du concours international de piano Andre Dumortier à Leuze-en-Hainaut (Belgique) et en 2020, il a remporté un concours de bourses à Anvers par Yamaha.

En 2020, Markiyan est devenu l’assistant de Sergei Edelmann au Conservatoire royal d’Anvers. Markiyan a participé activement à de nombreuses masterclasses, forums de piano, festivals, s’est produit en tant que soliste et musicien de chambre en Belgique, aux Pays-Bas, en France, en Allemagne, au Portugal, en Ukraine, en Pologne et dans d’autres pays d’Europe de l’Est.

Mahault Ska

Mahault zit momenteel in het 2de middelbaar

Mahault Ska is 12 jaar oud en begon piano te spelen op 6-jarige leeftijd aan de muziekschool van Lasne, bij mevrouw Jessica ICKET.

Op 9-jarige leeftijd trad zij toe tot het EDUARDO DEL PUEYO MUZIEKCENTRUM (Brussel), waar zij les kreeg van mevrouw Claudine ORLOFF.

Zij werd laureate van verschillende nationale en internationale pianowedstrijden en ontving onder meer in 2022 de eerste prijs van haar categorie en de publieksprijs op het pianoconcours van Luik.

In datzelfde jaar behaalde zij eveneens de eerste prijs van haar categorie op het Internationale Pianoconcours César Franck, evenals de BNP Paribas Fortis Jonge Talentprijs.

Haar favoriete componisten zijn Chopin, Fauré en Beethoven.

Mahault is ook gepassioneerd door literatuur, wiskunde en klassieke dans.

Akari  bastiaens is geboren in 2012. In 2019 won zij een eerste prijs Steinnway Piano en een prijs Steinway & Sons. 

In 2020 is ze laureaat van het Cantabile Piano wedstrijd in de jongste categorie.

Zij vertegenwoordigde in september 2021 Belgie tijdens het Steinway festival in Hamburg.

In 2022 behaalde ze een tweede prijs in de categorie tot 15 jaar 2022 behaalde zij een eerste Prijs Steinway Piano.

Zij speelt in het Junior Conservatorium van Maastricht onder de begeleiding van Joop Celis.

Ze krijgt dit jaar de mogelijkheid om met het Arte Amanti Kamerorkest het vijfde klavierconcert van Johann Sebastien Bach uit te voeren.

Op 5 juni 2022 werd ze “Laureaat 2022 van de Stichting Fondation Stiftung Chopin” benoemd.

Adam Suga is een jonge pianist, geboren en opgegroeid in Polen. Na zijn studies met onderscheiding te hebben afgerond bij Elżbieta Makowska in Łódź, zet hij zijn opleiding voort aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel bij Jan Michiels. Hij neemt deel aan internationale orkestprojecten zoals het Lutosławski Youth Orchestra en Youth Orchestra Flanders als pianist, celestaspeler en glockenspielspeler, waarbij hij samenwerkt met dirigenten zoals Ewa Strusińska en Stéphane Denève. Hij is laureaat van piano- en kamermuziekwedstrijden in Warschau, Łódź, Siedlce, Przemyśl, Baza en Palmela. Hij neemt eveneens deel aan talrijke masterclasses met beroemde pianisten zoals Wojciech Świtała, Alexandar Madzar en António Rosado.

22-year-old Tom De Beuckelaer is regarded as the leading young pianist of his generation in Belgium, amassing impressive achievements since a young age. He began performing in public since age six and appeared with orchestra in Belgium at age 12, playing Mozart Concerto No. 20 in D minor, K. 466. He also played Mozart K.466 with chamber orchestra of Russian teachers of Harbin Conservatory and Chopin Piano Concerto Op.11 with the student orchestra of Mozarteum Salzburg.

An accomplished pianist, Tom holds the title of several first prizes. They are: the 21st “International Fryderyck Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth”. (Poland)2013; the 9^th International Chopin Golden-ring Piano Competition (Slovenia) 2013; Prinses Christina Concours south-1 in “S-Hertogenborsch” (The Nederlands) 2014; the 8^th International Rosario Marciano Piano Competition (Austria) 2016; the 7^th Steinway Piano Competition (Belgium) 2017; and the 21^st International Music Competition “Pietro Argento” (Italy)2018; the 37^th Andree Charlier Piano Competition(Belgium),2019; the King’s Peak International Music Competition(online) 2020; Second prize in the VI Odin International Music Online Competition 2021; Second prize in the Franz Liszt Center International Competition (online) 2021.

An active performer, Tom travels extensively and has given recitals in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Poland, Slovenia, Czech republic, Lativia,Belgium and China. He has also performed in master classes by Katarzyna Popowa-zydron, Wojciech Świtała, Elisso Virsaladze, Andras Schiff, Jacques Rouvier, Anna Malikowa, Ewa Poblocka, Cristina Ortiz and Arie Vardi.

Born in Schiedam, The Netherlands, Tom De Beuckelaer began piano lessons at age 4 under the supervision of his mother. His other teachers included Jean-Paul Vanden Driessche, and Heidi Hendrickx. In 2017, he enrolled as a bachelor’s student in the University Mozarteum Salzburg, in the class of Professor Pietro De Maria. Now he continues his studies with Professor Diane Andersen and Aleksandar Madžar at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels.

Music Education

• 2003:  began to play piano under the supervision of his mother at the age of four.
